About Varsity & Junior Varsity Nationals
The 2026 International Academic Competitions suite of Varsity and Junior Varsity National Championships events will take place from late April to mid May of 2026. The list of Nationals events as well as when and where they take place are found below.

Official Host Hotel
Please note that according to the IAC Stay-to-Play Policy staying at one of the official host hotels is required for all families outside a 100-mile driving radius of the Crystal Gateway Marriott.

Qualification Notes – Please read before registering!

The National History Bowl requires prior qualifying at the Regional Tournament level.

The National History Bee requires prior qualifying at either National History Bowl and Bee Regional Tournaments or at National Science, History, and Geography Bee Regional Tournaments.

The National Science Bee is open only to students who have qualified either on the National Qualifying Exam or a National Science, History, and Geography Bee Regional Tournament.

The US Geography Championships, National Geography Bee, and US Geography Bee are open only to students who have qualified either on the Geography National Qualifying Exam or a National Science, History, and Geography Bee Regional Tournament.

The US History Bee and National Political Science Bee are open only to students who have qualified on their respective National Qualifying Exams.

No qualification is required to compete in any of the National Championship Exams or the National Academic Bee.
- 7
No qualification is required to compete in the Varsity and Junior Varsity National Championships of the National Geography Bowl.
