Georgia Academic Bee and Bowl

International Academic Competitions is pleased to announce the 2026 Georgia Academic Bee & Bowl, taking place at XXXX in Johns Creek, GA on October 3rd, 2026! This tournament will run on our Academic Bee and Bowl Set of questions, and is open to all middle and elementary school students, regardless of what state they are from, as long as they have not yet played this set of questions in the 2026-2027 academic year.Â
To register, please fill out the form below. If you don’t receive a confirmation email within an hour, your registration may not have been processed and you should email help@iacompetitions.com as soon as possible.
- Preregistration closes on September 25th at 11:59 pm EST.Â
- Teams can still register with a late fee until September 28th, after which Bowl registrations are no longer guaranteed.Â
- After that date, contact your Tournament Coordinator, Sara DelVillano at sara@iacompetitions.com to see if registration is still possible.
- No refunds will be given after September 28th; a more complete list of our late registration fees and policies can be found here.Â
- Individuals who are only participating in the Bee and/or taking exams can register ahead of time or on site with no late fees, though advance registration is preferred.

National Academic Bee & National Academic Bowl
- Bowl teams and Bee players start with several preliminary rounds (see schedule below, as some preliminary rounds take place after lunch).Â
- After prelims, the top Bowl teams will play in a single elimination playoff, while the top Bee players will play a 4th and final round.Â
- The number of teams/individuals playing in playoffs will vary depending on the field size; your Tournament Director will announce this on the day of the tournament. Â
- At some events, certain divisions may be combined, using the Small Field Rules as needed.
- There will be plaques for the top Bowl teams and medals for the top 3 Bee players in each division. Additionally, the top Bowl teams and Bee players can also qualify for our Middle & Elementary School National Championships in May!
Middle/Elementary School National Qualifying Exams
During the lunch break, we will offer the following Middle/Elementary School National Qualifying Exams for $20 each. Please note that students can only take up to 5 exams at a given Academic Bee & Bowl event, and will receive 20 minutes to take one exam and 40 minutes total for more than one exam.
- National Biology Bee Qualifying Exam
- National Citizenship Bee Qualifying Exam
- National Humanities Bee Qualifying Exam
- National Mathematics Bee Qualifying Exam
- US Geography Bee Qualifying Exam
- US History Bee Qualifying Exam
These exams only qualify students for the Middle/Elementary School National Championships.  There are also Varsity/JV National Qualifying Exams that can qualify students solely for the Varsity/JV National Championships in Geography, Political Science, Science and US History, as well as the 2028 International Geography Championships.
Proposed Schedule
The schedule as listed below is considered tentative and therefore may still be subject to changes due to registrations or other factors. The schedule will be confirmed the week of the tournament when the pretournament email goes out, usually the Wednesday before the tournament.
