International Academic Competitions is pleased to announce the 2025 Chicago Academic Bowl, taking place at Daniel Wright JHS in Lincolnshire, IL on November 15, 2025!  This tournament will run on our Academic Bowl Set of questions, and is open to all middle and elementary school students, regardless of what state they are from, as long as they have not yet played this set of questions in the 2025-2026 academic year.

To register, please fill out the form below.  Preregistration closes on November 7th at 11:59 pm EST.  Teams can still register with a late fee until November 10th, after which Bowl registrations are no longer guaranteed. After that date, contact hs-info@iacompetitions.com to see if registration is still possible.  Late registration fees and policies can be found here.   For further information, please email the Tournament Coordinator, Marshall Mullins at marshall@iacompetitions.com. Thanks, and we look forward to welcoming you to Lincolnshire in November!

Academic Bowl
Bowl teams will play 5 or 6 preliminary rounds, depending on field size.  After prelims, the teams will be rebracketed to play in playoffs.  The number of playoff matches will vary depending on the field size; your Tournament Director will announce this on the day of the tournament.  There will be plaques for the top teams, and teams can also qualify for our Middle & Elementary School National Championships in May!

Academic Bee
The National Academic Bee will not be offered at the regional level this year, though it will be one of our events offered at our Middle & Elementary School National Championships in May.

In Person Regional Qualifying Exam(IRQE)
During the lunch break, students will take a required multiple choice exam in order to qualify for our National Science/History/Geography competitions for individuals.  These competitions will also qualify students for our Middle & Elementary School National Championships in May.  The 75-question exam is free to take and will contain 25 science questions, 25 history questions and 25 geography questions.
