National History Bowl Registrations

Bowl teams must be registered ahead of time, not on site. If you do not want to enter any teams, enter 0.

NOTE: Hosts can enter up to 6 teams for free. If you want to register more than 6 teams, we ask that you enter those free teams here, and then continue your registration on your event's registration page.

National History Bowl Team Specifications

Varsity teams can be made up or students in any grade. JV teams must be composed of 10th graders or lower. Middle School teams must be composed of 8th graders or lower, and can compete as a JV team if they wish, playing against other JV teams. A host's free teams can be of any size.
If you do not want to enter any Varsity teams, enter 0.
If you do not want to enter any JV teams, enter 0.
If you do not want to enter any Middle School teams, enter 0.

NOTE: Hosts can enter up to 6 teams for free. If you want to register more than 6 teams TOTAL, we ask that you enter those free teams here, and then continue your registration on your event's registration page.

Readers


Per the rules found on this page, you must bring a reader for every one or two teams that enter. So, if you are bringing one or two teams, you need one reader, for three or four teams, you need two readers, etc. For every reader you do not bring, IAC will need to hire a reader at the price of $99 each to ensure the tournament runs correctly, therefore your entry will be charged $99 per missing reader. Schools entering solo teams only, or schools entering students participating in the Bee and/or exams ONLY, do not need to bring readers.

You are allowed to change the number of students/events on site, as always. This is to help determine how much paperwork we need, as well as streamline your check in process as much as possible.

NOTE: Hosts can enter up to 24 Bee students teams for free. If you want to register more than that, we ask that you enter the free students here, and then continue your registration on your event's registration page.
