Students can also qualify for the International Geography Championships (Vienna\, Austria – July 13-20\, 2024) and the International Environmental Science Olympiad (Puerto Rico – Dec. 27-31\, 2024) through the Geography and Science National Qualifying Exams. \nNote for middle/elementary students: Middle and elementary school teams are welcome to participate at this tournament in the History Bowl. Within each age division\, we will also have different competitions for teams where all competing students attend the same school or homeschool association (Standard) and teams where students either attend two different schools / homeschool associations of any kind\, or teams where all students attend all schools within the same school district (Open). To clarify\, teams with students who attend 3 or more different schools are only permitted if all of these schools are within the same school district\, but teams of students at two different schools are permitted to attend in any case. Academic Bowl is a team event\, but solo and two student teams are not only encouraged to play\, but play for discounted rates. \n4. SUMMARY:New York City Metro History Bee and Bowl
DESCRIPTION:International Academic Competitions is pleased to announce the 2025 New York City Metro History Bee and Bowl\, taking place at Yeshiva University High School for Girls in Hollis\, NY on SUNDAY\, March 16!  This tournament will run on our B Set of questions\, and like all IAC Varsity and Junior Varsity events\, is open to all students\, regardless of what state they are from\, as long as they have not yet played this set of questions in the 2024-2025 academic year.  \nTo register\, please fill out the form below.  Preregistration closes on Saturday\, March 8\, 2025 at 11:59 pm EST.  Teams can still register with a late fee until Tuesday\, March 11\, 2025\, after which Bowl registrations are no longer guaranteed. After that date\, contact hs-info@iacompetitions.com to see if registration is still possible.  Late registration fees and policies can be found here.  Individuals just participating in the Bee and/or exams can register ahead of time or on site with no late fees\, though advance registration is preferred.  For further information\, please email the Tournament Coordinator\, Sara DelVillano at sara@iacompetitions.com.
