Effective March 14, 2022, the following policies apply to all IAC Regional & National Championship events taking place in the United States.

  • Masks recommended for all participants: IAC asks that if you have not been vaccinated that you wear a mask at all of our events. For all others we recommend masking as students come from various locations to participate.
  • Staff Vaccination Requirement: IAC requires all staff in the United States to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 before being scheduled to work any in-person IAC events.
  • Participant Vaccination Recommendation: Additionally, IAC strongly recommends participants (including students, coaches, and spectators) be vaccinated against COVID-19. However, IAC will not require proof of vaccination or negative test results at Regional/State History Bee and Bowl events, Regional Finals, or National Championship tournaments.

The above policies may be superseded by state and local regulations or host venue policies.

Participants in this summer’s International History Olympiad must provide proof of vaccination prior to arrival for these events. The full vaccination policy for these events can be found on the IGC and IHO websites.
