Effective February 20, 2023, the following policies apply to all IAC Regional & National Championship events taking place in the United States.
- Requirements: IAC requires all paid staff in the United States to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 before being scheduled to work any in-person IAC events.
- Recommendations: IAC strongly recommends all attendees be vaccinated against COVID-19. IAC does not require proof of vaccination or negative test results at Regional/State History Bee and Bowl events, Regional Finals, or National Championship tournaments. Additionally, IAC recommends that if you have not been vaccinated, or are at a high risk of contracting COVID-19, that you wear a mask at all of our events as students come from various locations to participate.
The above policies may be superseded by state and local regulations or host venue policies.
Participants in this summer’s International History Olympiad (IHO) and International Environmental Science Olympiad (IESO) must provide proof of vaccination prior to arrival for these events. The full vaccination policy for these events can be found on the IESO and IHO websites.
